The interview.

Today I went on my first interview in 10 years. It is a little scary and intimidating. I always get nervous before stuff like this. Once I am there and doing the interview I am fine. I was glad that I have had access to Keystone Associates. They are a career consultant firm that helps people in transition from one job to another. They helped me with my resume, prepped me in questions that might be asked that sort of stuff. I believe that it helped a great deal.

I think the interview went very well. It felt like a positive experience. The woman I spoke with seemed very nice. She explained the job, which would be to take phone calls from different customers with their various facility related problems. This particular job is at Harvard Medical/Dental . I would be working for Unicco but the only customers would be Harvard Medical people. They have a contract with Unicco.

I was told that she looked at 50/60 resumes and made calls to the 5-6 people that had applicable experience. I am supposed to hear from her next week one way or another. No go or a second interview. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Peace out.

"Motorist injured by flying frozen sausage
April 18, 2005

LONDON --A British motorist, driving home from work with his car window wound down, had his nose broken by a flying frozen sausage, an official said Monday.

The 46-year-old man was driving near his home in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex, east of London, when the sausage came through the window and hit him on the nose, a spokesman for the Essex Ambulance Service said on condition of anonymity.

"The man said he was making his way home after work and had the window down because it was such a nice afternoon," the ambulance spokesman said.

"He said he saw a car coming the other way and felt a searing pain in his nose.

"His nose was undoubtedly fractured and he had lost quite a lot of blood.

"It must have been an incredibly lucky, or unlucky, shot to get the sausage through a moving car window. I have never seen or heard of anything like this before."

Essex police said they were investigating the incident."
